Delete Your Relay Account

Relay account deletion is available to merchants, riders, fulfillment center admins, and fulfillment center staff. You can delete your account inside the Relay app or request deletion by email if you no longer have access to the app.

1. Delete your account in the app

  • Open the Relay app and sign in to the account you want to remove.
  • Go to Account & security.
  • In Danger zone, tap Delete account.
  • Confirm the final deletion prompt to permanently remove your login.

This path is available inside the merchant, rider, and fulfillment center experiences. Some users may be blocked from deletion until active deliveries, team ownership, or other operational dependencies are cleared.

2. If you cannot access the app

Send an email to hello@relayapp.ng with the subject Relay account deletion request.

Include the following so we can verify the request safely:

  • The phone number linked to your Relay account
  • Your role: merchant, rider, FC admin, or FC staff
  • Your business or fulfillment center name, if applicable
  • Any detail that helps us identify the account if you changed numbers

3. What happens after deletion

  • Your Relay login and account access are removed from active use.
  • Your profile data, device tokens, and authentication access are deleted or deactivated from active systems.
  • We complete valid deletion requests within 30 days.

4. Data we may retain

Relay may retain limited records where we need them for legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, reconciliation, dispute resolution, or core business operations.

  • Completed order and delivery history
  • Billing, payout, and reconciliation records where applicable
  • Audit and security logs needed to protect businesses using Relay

Any retained records are minimized, access-restricted, and kept only for the period required by law or legitimate operational need.
